Education process

Health education :

Definition: it is a systematic process for health behavior about the human individuals, family , community to the health.

Objective :health education in the community aim to the change behavior towered Optimal health .

Process of health education :

1-Identify the educational problem need
*community health nurse learn about the health education needs of their client by performing a systematic and through client need assessment.
* the educator must also understand how the learner s existing knowledge ,skills, and motivation influence learning.

2-establishv education Goals and Objective:
*leaner needs are determined , goals and objectives to guide the education program must be identify.

3-select appropriate education methods:
*methods should be chosen to facilitate the efficient and successful accomplishment of program goals and objectives.
*for example printed materials audiovisual materials, computer assisted learning, demonstration ,guest speaker ,media, and data show.

4-Implement the educational plan :
*education method have been selected they should be implemented through management of the education process.
a- control over starting ,sustaining ,and stopping each method and strategy in the most effective and appropriate time and manner.
b- the condition and control of environment factor.
c- keeping the materials logically to care them and overall program goals.

5-Evaluation the education process :
Evaluation: is as important in the educational process as it is in the nursing process. Evaluation focusing on implementation process. *
Evaluation involve three areas:
1-educator evaluation
2-process evaluation
3-protect evaluation





Example on health education :

(1) health problem from assessment by:

a- survey to the community to identify causes
b- solving problem by provide health educational program, for example "Measles"
survey to community to identify cause , hygiene, and provide education to community about measles to change behavior.

(3)implementation of systematic program by having data show ,learning equipment , demonstration and ect……

(4)evaluation intervention(for implementation).
