What is Research?
?Research is original and critical intellectual activity. Here original refers to the fact that the question which the research seeks to answer is original . It should be original for at least for the researcher ; it needs not original for the world .
?Research is a serious and sustained attempt at answering questions . The question occurs to the right person at the right time under the right circumstances .
Health Research importance in Iraq
?It is recognized that Iraq had made creditable progress in the practice of medicine during the second half of the last century. Unfortunately, it has miserably lagged behind, in the field of medical research, at the same time there are numerous problems that bedevil the health of Iraqi nation for which we alone have to find solutions; others are obviously not interested in them. Health managers, health care providers and policy makers in Iraq need to understand more about the process of research .
