7. Course Description:

This course provides the MSC students with basic knowledge required to render community health nursing services to individuals, and groups who are well, ill or at risk in the various community settings. Nursing process is used as a framework for the practice of community health nursing. The course further prepares the students with essential knowledge and skills to provide preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care to individuals and specific population groups in the community
Students are given opportunities to practice various strategies and techniques to establish nurse- client contacts in various community settings such as school, work place, primary health center and other health agencies
